Commercial Pest Control

In commercial settings, the result is not measured only by the absence of pests: it is measured by the ability to prove it. Restaurants, hotels, food retail, daycares, seniors' residences, and rental buildings are all subject to inspections where documentation counts as much as conditions. Our integrated pest management programs therefore combine an operational side — monitoring, action thresholds, treatments scheduled outside service hours — with a complete documentation side, supplied as a matter of course at no extra charge.

Integrated pest management: monitor before treating

An integrated program is not about spraying every month. It rests on a network of monitoring devices — sticky traps, numbered bait stations, light traps — installed at fixed, mapped locations and read at every visit. Those readings produce a curve: as long as activity stays below the defined threshold, no chemical treatment is applied. Above it, work is targeted at the affected zone. This approach markedly reduces product volume, which is both a health and an economic argument, and it provides continuous proof of control — a twelve-month activity chart is worth far more than a one-off certificate at inspection time.

Restaurants and food retail: water before insecticide

In a commercial kitchen, insecticide does only part of the job. A roach survives weeks without food but only days without water: a dripping plumbing joint, an unmaintained fridge condenser, a dried-out floor trap, or buildup under a dishwasher sustains a population the best bait will never fully reduce. Our inspection systematically covers those points, along with neglected structural zones: behind fixed equipment, voids under counters, dropped ceilings, receiving docks, and the waste room. The report lists them by priority and separates daily maintenance from what requires a repair. That part of the work decides whether the program holds.

MAPAQ documentation, audits, and insurance

Three documents are recurrently requested during an inspection or audit: the dated intervention log, safety data sheets for the products used, and the integrated pest management plan describing devices, their locations, and action thresholds. We supply all three as standard, at no extra charge, and keep them updated after every visit. On request we add the mapped device plan, reading history as a chart, and technician compliance certificates. For chains and franchises subject to an internal audit, we adapt the report format to the required template rather than imposing ours — an administrative detail that saves the on-site manager considerable time.

Rental buildings, daycares, and seniors' residences

These three environments impose constraints residential work does not. In daycares and seniors' residences the protocol is largely mechanical rather than chemical in occupied spaces, treatments are scheduled outside occupancy hours, and every product used must be justifiable by its data sheet. In rental buildings the difficulty is organizational rather than technical: access to several units must be coordinated on the same day, preparation instructions distributed in the occupants' languages, and refusals of access documented — the leading cause of a failed full-stack treatment. We supply bilingual or multilingual entry notices, the intervention schedule, and a per-unit log, three items that protect the owner in a dispute.

How an intervention unfolds

01

Free on-site inspection

A certified technician comes on site, identifies the exact species, measures the extent of the infestation, and locates entry points. No obligation, and no price quoted before seeing the site.

02

Written quote and treatment plan

You receive a document setting out the chosen method, the products used, the number of visits planned, the schedule, and the scope of the guarantee. The price is firm, not indicative.

03

Treatment and preparation instructions

Preparation instructions are given to you in advance: this is the most underestimated part and the one that decides the outcome. Treatment is then applied with Health Canada-approved products.

04

Follow-up visit and guarantee

One or two check visits verify the outcome, scheduled against the species' reproductive cycle rather than on a fixed date. If activity resumes within the covered period, we return at no charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often are the visits?

Monthly for restaurants and food retail, quarterly for most shops and offices, twice a month while remediating an active infestation. Frequency is adjusted to monitoring readings rather than fixed in advance.

Do you work outside business hours?

Yes, that is the rule in restaurants and food retail. Treatments happen after closing or before opening, with preparation surfaces protected and rinsed per protocol before service resumes.

Do you provide documents for a MAPAQ inspection?

Yes: dated intervention log, product safety data sheets, and the integrated pest management plan. All three are supplied as standard at no extra charge and updated after every visit.

What if a tenant refuses access?

We record it in the log with the date and unit involved. It is the leading cause of a failed full-stack treatment, and the record protects the owner if they must show they met their obligation. We then propose a make-up date.
